artPontiac :: Make/live/see art

Studio 4: Jennifer Dale Judd

Acrylic, watercolour

I am a country soul and feel blessed to have spent most of my life on farms in and around Shawville. Working with earth, animals and people in the Pontiac is a simple yet fulfilling existence.  I know grace all around; in flowers, trees, landscapes and sky.  The vast open space that is my home and the creatures that inhabit it, particularly cows, are my subjects.

I completed a fine arts program in college then set out on life’s journey always searching for artistic outlets in whatever way I could.  When I married this translated into home rebuilding, remodelling and landscaping between helping tend the dairy farm.

Most recently, my primary occupation is raising my four children.  I’m thankful to carve out time to practice art in my home surrounded by them. I receive inspiration from them and hope I’m fostering the importance of original expression and seeing depth and beauty in everyday ordinary things.

I love recreating the multitude of colours I see in everything, it is the most challenging and rewarding part of the creative process and brings brilliance and life to the canvas. I work in acrylic and watercolour but consider myself a student as I experiment and explore to see where the artistic process will take me.

I look forward to meeting you this June.
